No, not in Texas. It’s a charming port town full of seafood and wonderful little treasures. Avoiding the threedayweekend crowds of the more touristy beaches we googlesearched our way to San Antonio. This weekend it was so reassuring to see the ocean again and be in a small beach town, away from the city. And I think I discovered the best place to stay, called Tú y Yo, a restruant and hostel overlooking the harbor. We had our own room and balcony (which we took full advantage of, in spite of the rain) for 5,000 pesos (about $10 U.S.) each including bread, coffee and tea for breakfast. My amigas and I also chased a holiday festivle of San Pedro and missed about everything but the colorful hanging street decorations, so we walked along the beach instead. The waves were thundering and the dogs smelled no different from the sea lions. We meet only the kindest people and ate and drank only the best. What a wonderful local weekend getaway.
